Description:
To post this trip i had to, temporarily, set the dates as from 26th August
to September. This can be changed. The week will be in August.

Have you ever wanted to learn new ski skills, or improve your Nordic, or
cross country skiing?

For 7 continuous days, do you like the idea of living inside a Victorian
High Country, Alpine National Park (A.N.P), also surrounded constantly by
the snow?

If "yes", you should love this trip.

Mostly, this is a Nordic (cross country) ski trip to Bogong Rover Chalet
(B.R.C), near Falls Creek, a 2nd largest commercial ski resort in Victoria.
Mount Bogong is the highest mountain in Victoria.

This trip includes: 7 days skiing, accommodation, foods, beverages,
transportation from Tawonga to Falls Creek, then 6 days later we will ski
from Fall Creek back to Tawonga, unlimited use of a dedicated ski tow at
the Chalet, ...etc.

The cost is a very reasonable $425.

You can hire Nordic skis in Mt Beauty or Tawonga, where the transport will
pick you up. The transport takes you to Falls Creek where the adventure
begins, skiing.

>From the Chalet you will be able to scurry out, practice and learn more
skiing skills, high inside A.N.P.

BRC is located at at Bogong High Plains, 12km from Falls Creek, Victoria.

It is run by highly skilled, helpful and very responsible Victorian Scouts
members. We should be safe with them, on snow as well as off snow.

Daily, there will be different ski trips out to various places for
different skiers levels.

You also can learn new ski skills from them as well, so there are
opportunities for all levels beginner to advanced.

It is simply an awesome trip.

In other seasons, there are abundant normal and weird insects and wild
life.

Simply, it is the very interesting place to spend time.

Scenery are just stunning fluidly beautifully changes with weather and
time.

I used to fish and have small trouts near BRC.

Everyone is required to help the organisers to carry extra fresh meats and
vegetable, of which were already paid by all of us, inside each of our
bacpack, for all of us to consume in 7 days.

You will need to re-fresh, or acquire your skiing skills by August, as you
should be able to ski and carrying your backpack of about 12 kilograms,
from Falls Creek to the chalet, about 13km. Your pack will have some of the
food you will share at the Chalet.

After 7 days eating all of our fresh foods, you will ski with your
backpack, (this time about 7 kilograms), from the Chalet back to Falls
Creek.

The higher level of fitness is the better.

In order to fully enjoy this trip, at least, you must be able to run
slowly, non stop, for 30 minutes on dirt tracks. Please, do more work out,
from now if you can.

There will also be some sharing of basic daily duties in the Chalet to keep
us clean and healthy.

It is run by highly skilled, helpful and very responsible Victorian Scouts
members. They are also locally knowledgeable. We should be safe under their
constant guidance, or suppervision.

Everyday, there will be many different trips out to various places.

You can get more ski skills from them as well. So, there are opportunities
for all levels, from beginner to advanced.

At the top of the ski tow there are some areas for back country skiing.

Near the chalet, there are also some (ungroomed ) areas for downhill
skiing, but mostly very steep, and more suitable for intermediate and
advanced skiers.

Optionally, you may ski back to Falls Creek, 12km, and buy a commercial
lift pass and join in with other downhill skiers.

You will have opportunities to learn/practice, daily, to make fresh breads,
pizzas, cakes and many other dishes, then bake or cook them in a wood
fired, or gas ovens.

Unlimited supply of water usage from 100% fresh, natural, gravity feed
mountain top springs. No chemicals added. Ofcourse, very hot water also
available daily.

I would rate that accommodation as 2 to 3 stars. Other different people may
rate it much higher.

I heard that there were some people also liked to live there to relax, or
learn new skills for their life such as: writings, to play musical
instruments, watch night sky with full galaxly, ...etc

Please sign up ASAP, preferably, by 6th July2017.

Aiming to book and paid by 15th July, before it is full.

We should have an extra skiing weekend near Perisher in July before commit
ourself to BRC trip.

Please check out at website bogongroverchalet.org.au.

More details after you have signed up. Cheers.
